Wesley and Buttercup lived again on the big screen for one night only.
Tuesday night is blast to the past night at my local Edwards Theatre. Joanna came down and we went to laugh and love with this cheesy cult classic. So fun. So many great movie quotes. "Life is pain highness, anyone telling you anything different is selling something."
The crowd was fantastic. They were reciting lines with us throughout the movie like, "Hello, My name is Inigo Montonya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
I can actually admit that I saw this film when it was released the first time to the theatre. The year was 1987. I was in the 6th grade. My mom let me go to the movies for the first time with my friends, alone. Well, almost alone I had to take my brother. But I wouldn’t let him sit with us. I made him sit in the front of the theatre. Poor thing.
The movie raged on in high school and college. Lots of good memories.

Inconceivable!
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!
Did I see that movie with you originally?
You know Michelle. I have been racking my brain to remember. I remember that we went to the movie theatre at Southtown Mall. I know we went with Michelle Williams, Dawn Thurber, and Mandy ??? Something deep in the recesses of my mind makes me want to think that you couldn’t go. But I’m not sure. How terrible was that. Then again it was 19 years ago. I’m going to give myself some grace.
Marti - You see that is who I remember seeing it with too. Because I remember Dawn Thurber laughing so hard as they were falling down the hill yelling “as you wish.” I also cannot remember Mandy’s last name. I can picture her but that is it.
I’m trying to remember, it’s fuzzy and hazy. Can you believe that was 19 years ago.
